Cookies

This page explains, in plain words, the cookies and similar storage we use. We keep them to a minimum.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. They help the site work and help the owner understand how it is used.

Cookies we use

Your settings (local storage)

We also save your choices, like currency, DBR limit and language, in your browser's local storage, so the tools remember them next time. The Loan Planner uses the same saved settings, plus a small note of whether you have hidden its tip. This is not used for tracking and stays on your device.

Sign-in cookies (only if you use My Account)

If you create a free account and sign in, we set a session cookie so the site knows you are signed in, and, if you choose "remember me", one secure cookie to keep you signed in on that device. These are set only when you sign in, never for anonymous visitors, and they are removed when you log out.

No ads

We do not use cookies to show you ads.

How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. The calculator will still work without them, but it may not remember your settings.
